The Liberty and Security Committee

In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of 9/11, the United States has faced a variety of important questions about how to enhance our security while simultaneously protecting our civil liberties.  The Liberty and Security Committee’s work covers a variety of controversial areas, such as:

In all these area, the committee has developed and promoted recommendations to ensure that national security policies and programs include robust safeguards for constitutional rights.
